Vision
For the past several years,
Royal Lane Baptist
Church has planned summer mission trips in coordination with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship's rural
poverty initiative called Together for
Hope. This initiative represents a twenty year commitment by CBF to do ministry
in the 20
poorest counties in the United States. These counties are clustered in five regions as
follows:
- Appalachia
- Black
Belt
- High
Plains
- Mississippi River
Delta
- Rio Grande
Valley
To date, Royal Laners have served in Appalachia (2006), the High Plains (2005), the Rio Grande Valley Valley (2004) and the Mississippi
River Delta (2003). In 2007 we plan to serve the Black Belt.
